Music Ministry/ Choir Director 1987-2004 During this time I was a member, guitarist, flutist and director of the folk choir. We lead the music for the 9am Mass every Sunday as well as many additional services throughout the year. I planned the hymns and service music as well as taught any new music to our musicians and singers. I attended monthly Liturgy meetings and would on occasion attend music ministry conferences. In the later years, I wrote a number of pieces that we played during a variety of services, and were sung by other choirs in Winnipeg and around North America.
Life Teen 2004 In its inaugural year I was part of the Life Teen Leadership Team, who helped plan and implement the weekly meeting for the youth members.

September 2015-June 2016 In Mrs. Gregory's grade 3 class I was the Parent Volunteer Coordinator. I would arrange for volunteers for a variety of activities from Fun Lunches to Field Trips as well as arrange for food and supplies for the class parties. I also submitted the Scholastic Book Order to Scholastic Canada Ltd. May 2016 For our annual fundraiser, Run At The Ridge, I, with a small group of parents, helped organize the bags for participants with their bib numbers, T-shirts and a variety of other items.

The administration and staff at HGI were kind enough to allow me to volunteer as an educator, working with both large and small groups. June 2018 & 2019 With Mrs. Brown, grade 8 teacher developed and implemented a geocaching lesson plan as an exam review for math.

December 2018 - Guest Speaker: Beyond Hour of Code. Taking students and teachers beyond the block coding. (grades 5-8)
February 19 2019 - Guest Speaker: Putting a Cultural Perspective on the Northern Lights. Presented a science and cultural perspective on the Northern Lights and facilitated an activity to 5 grade 6 classes, approximately 150 students.

Scouts Canada 2010-present First with the 45th Whyte Ridge group and then with the 163rd Winnipeg Scouts I have taken on a variety of roles with the Beaver Scouts, eventually becoming a Beaver Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader and Scout Leader. During my tenure I have actively participated in the planning and executing of several activities and projects including planning the holiday party, taking the youth on hikes/geocaching, lessons on cooking and sewing, camping and arranging outings and visitors as well publishing articles about Scouting in our local newsletter. Turning Points Level 1 Judge: As part of a larger group I helped to judge entries into the Turning Points Essay Contest based on a provided rubric for grade 6 Manitoba students
During my first practicum experience I taught grade 9 General Science: Atoms and Elements. In this time, I prepared lesson plans and labs using the PowerPoint slides and student notes from my Cooperating Teacher as the main guide, adjusting as I saw fit. Using the resources available I recreated quizzes and hands-on activities. In addition to general science, I helped in a resource math class where students would come to get extra help with math, get caught up or credit recovery; and I taught a lesson on algae for a Horticulture class.

During my second practicum at Vincent Massey Collegiate, I taught grade 11 Computer Science (Java), Grade 10 Digital Photography and Grade 11 Essential Mathematics (Slope and Rates of Change).
